my dog beeshie and my cat, catbaby

Hello, my name is Angela Miller. In 2008, I rescued a little Bichon Frise. That’s him above with his sister, Cat Baby. I got her as a kitten in the fall of 2001. Her 17th Birthday will come this August (2018) WOW!

When I got my little dog, I took him to the vet right away to be checked out. At that time, I asked him if he could estimate Beeshie’s age. He told me he was about 7 years old.

This was just a guess based on his experience as a veterinarian. I figured my new dog was between 5 and 8 years old.

I started looking into dog nutrition so I could keep my little love bug for as long as I possibly could. Many inexpensive brands of dog food are unhealthy for your pet. Think about some people who eat all of their meals at fast food restaurants. Sooner or later it catches up with them. They may start to feel lethargic, tired, and moody.

I love my dog too much to feed him unhealthy food. After all, I’m the only one in charge of buying his food and feeding him.

I’ve learned a lot about this subject in the past few years and it’s been my goal to pass on this knowledge to other caring dog owners.

Update: July 13, 2017

Beautiful open field with a cloud shaped like a dog angel that is passing over the rainbow

On May 7, 2017, my little Beeshie passed over the rainbow bridge. He had been ill for a month or two and was on several medications. Every couple of hours he was getting pills, meds for his eyes, and liquid meds through an eyedropper.

He was slowly losing his zest for life. He no longer even wanted to go out for a walk. (his all-time favorite thing to do)

I talked to his vet and decided it was time to end his suffering. Looking back, I probably waited too long. I just couldn’t bear to let him go. I was thinking of myself and not what was best for Beeshie. I’m sure anyone who has gone through this knows exactly what I’m talking about.

It’s been about 2 months now. Eventually, I’ll probably get another dog, but right now, I just can’t do it. No dog could ever replace my little love bug.
